Process

Three steps.
That's genuinely it.

No app to download, no minimum commitment. Your recordings are anonymized, licensed to AI companies, and your payout hits UPI automatically.

01

Sign in with email

Create an account with your email address — no phone number required. We send you a magic link, no password needed.

02

Upload a spam call recording

Pick a recording from your phone — MP3, M4A, WAV, or MP4 all work. Submit as many recordings as you have. Longer recordings earn more.

03

Get paid via UPI

We review it, strip out personal info, and send your earnings directly to your UPI ID. The longer the approved recording, the more you earn.

Why it matters

You're helping build
better AI

AI companies building speech products for Indian languages — voice assistants, transcription tools, call analytics — need real Indian voices to train on. Not synthetic data. Not scripts. Real calls, real accents, real conversations.

How your data is used

Your recordings are cleaned, speaker-separated, and transcribed. The anonymized dataset is then licensed to AI companies — they use it to train models that understand how real people speak across Indian languages and accents.

What we never do

We never sell your personal information. We never share recordings that identify you or the caller. Every file goes through PII removal — phone numbers, names, and addresses are stripped before it reaches any buyer.

Earnings

FAQ

Common questions

Yes — in India, recording a phone call you are a party to is generally permissible. Since you received the call, you are a party to it. We also require that you only submit spam/unsolicited calls, where the other party is calling as part of a commercial activity. We anonymize the audio before it enters our dataset, removing all identifying information. We operate in compliance with the DPDP Act 2023.
We work with AI companies building speech and language products — voice assistants, transcription services, call analytics, and ASR models for Indian languages. We don't publicly list our buyers by default, but the anonymized data you contribute helps build tools that understand how real people across India actually speak.
We pay based on the duration of approved audio. A 60-minute recording earns up to ₹150 — shorter recordings earn proportionally. The approved duration is measured after we trim silence and low-quality segments, so the final payout may differ slightly from the total file length.
Our team reviews recordings manually, typically within 1–3 business days. If your recording is approved, the payout is sent to your UPI ID shortly after. If it's rejected — usually due to quality issues or being a personal call — you'll see the status update on your dashboard with a reason.
Yes. Under the DPDP Act 2023, you can request deletion of your data at any time. Email delete@sorus.io with your registered email address and we'll process the deletion within 30 days. Note that if your recording has already been incorporated into a licensed dataset, we may not be able to retroactively remove it from those deliveries — this is disclosed in our terms.
Absolutely — regional dialects are more valuable, not less. AI models trained only on standardized speech perform poorly in the real world. If it's an unsolicited call in Bhojpuri, Tulu, Haryanvi, or any other variety, submit it. That's exactly what we need.
